They arrived on 07/08 at 03:10, I made a reservation the day before so that I could check in at the hotel right away.
We were greeted by 2 men at the front desk, friendly enough, with juice (yup; just water would have been better). The reception at night looked very scary, the old plastic door immediately spoiled the mood and this sign with the sun... well, it's kind of... morally outdated.
From 19.07 they started repairing the reception desk (this is a big plus), but to be fair, the reception desk looked better during the day)))
What immediately threw me off track is that we were not taken to the room 😱 on Temen Street, I have 2 small children (1 year and 3 years), at the reception, the man just showed us where our building is on the map and that's it... I'm out of the way she was so tired that she couldn't even say anything anymore. She took the keys and left.
The second unpleasant moment is the room on the 3rd floor... I previously wrote to the hotel and asked for a king bed and a room on the 1st floor. All 2 of my requests were ignored. I also asked for slippers and bathrobes (which are available in the hotel upon request), but this was also ignored.
I know that no one blames me, but it is very nice when colleagues go to a meeting. Here the guest wrote back with a simple phrase - accommodation according to the reservation and that's all... but I didn't ask for anything in addition to the reservation and when booking I also indicated a king's bed... also in the letter I asked for a tour, showing the rooms, but all this was simply ignored...
The territory of the hotel is impressive: large, beautiful, well-kept. There is so much greenery, everything is blooming and smelling. A BIG thank you to everyone who creates and cares. A lot of shade 👍
Many beautiful locations for photos and relaxation, for example, hammocks. Or areas on the grass where you can lie under a palm tree. There is an area in the middle of the buildings with a library and a wooden bench where you can read a book, but it is impossible to lie down on that bench. She is very uncomfortable. You won't be able to sit, because it has a specific shape, like a wide and wavy chaise longue.
There are several bars on the territory of the hotel. Sunset and Soda are new, modern, renovated. But the staff... it seems that no one is happy for you here and if there was no one, then they would be happy... but the truth is, almost everywhere you feel as if you are superfluous... you are served reluctantly and even for a tip.
Very nice Bella Vista bar on the water. You can swim to it, or cross the bridges on both sides of the lagoon. Everything here is stylish and modern. It's like you're in a different place altogether. But the service also wants better.
And the main minus of all bars - there is no menu in any of them!!! That is, you simply do not understand what drinks are available and what you can order. I'm not an expert in cocktails, so I couldn't order anything else except a mojito and pina colada.
I tasted more beer. Diluted, light, weak. The wine is not tasty.
The main restaurant : clean, tidy, the staff here tries hard, flies. We ate in the same hall almost all the time. There was a very nice guy there, I really wanted to go there, he communicated well with the children. But there was another one working next to him (delivering drinks), whom everyone clearly hated. And it made me very sad that the hotel would be completely different if people were trained to work, or such personnel were changed.
Food : not a big selection, but tasty enough. I came +2 kg 🙈😆 But, in 2 weeks, everything was already very boring. For dinner and lunch, the same salads: beets, beans + corn and cabbage. That's all... When we arrived, there was squid for lunch and dinner almost all week. In the second week, there were none at all... There were shrimp 3-4 times, crabs. Some kind of fish, tuna. In general, there were no major comments on nutrition. The only thing is that the breakfasts are very simple. 2 times there was mango; fresh coffee is paid - $3, but there were only orange and melon ones (there is no brewed coffee, only in bars.
The food court on beach 1 (I've never been there) and near the sunset bar - there are fries, burgers, pizza, ice cream and popcorn.
At Bella Vista, there are only croissants in the morning, and then from 1:00 p.m. there are pastries.
A la carte : Mexican, Egyptian, fish. There is also an Italian one, but we did not have time to visit it due to repairs. You can make an appointment through the application or through special terminals installed in the restaurant at the entrance.
Fish restaurant - nothing interesting on the menu. But the interior is very cool, the service is normal.
Egyptian - delicious, great service.
Mexican - we only ordered tartflew, it was very tasty and very cool service. And the beer here is delicious, tastier than at the bar, poured from a glass bottle, but without a label.
There is almost no SERVICE ON THE BEACH. Although it is declared and there are boys running there, it is impossible to call them. Orders are accepted once in a while. In reality, they can say ok and not bring it. And this is the most infuriating and insulting.
Towels on the beach are normal. There are new ones, there are older ones, but no complaints. Deck chairs and umbrellas are all in good condition. There are many, very many of them, there is definitely a place for all of them (unlike pools).
We went to the beach to swim in the direction of the lagoon, in the direction of the surf zone. There, the water is much cleaner and there are almost no people.
The beach is gorgeous - I chose the hotel because of it. It was important for me to bathe the little ones. And since the younger one categorically does not perceive the circle, something was needed on the side. The hotel coped with this task on 10/10.
Room : I booked a superior. It seems that it is normal, it is clear that repairs were made, but the door to the bathroom is very worn from the bottom and the handle was broken....
No hair conditioner. Only shampoo, shower gel and soap. Lotion still. They fill very reluctantly. You always have to ask for something extra.
My children threw a paper cup under my bed and no one cleaned it for 3 days. Once on the beach, a guest, a girl from Belarus, approached me and asked if everything was OK. I didn't have time, because I was just booking tourists, applications were tied up, and everything had to be done quickly. So I told her for cleaning. She recorded. Later, even an inspection came to us, and another guy cleaned for the second week. But the little apple rolled under the bed, and I suspect that it is still there, because no one cleaned it for 3 days. I will also add a photo of how the towels were folded for us 🥴
Honestly, I'm writing a review, and it's really sad. Because I'm one of those people who always likes everything, but here...
By the way, in a conversation with Khrystyna (guest), I heard a phrase that was not clear to me: "Oh, your tourists don't like everything, especially.."
Because I said that I am a travel agent and that I evaluate the hotel, not just as a tourist, but it is important that the tourists like everything... I did not understand what this meant. Then she started telling me that she rested alone in King Tut and it was trash... but you can't compare the damn price tag in these hotels... 🫢
Contingent : Germans, English, some Poles, some Serbs, Hungarians, Chinese and Russians... I think about 25%
The thing that pissed me off the most was the song I heard during the children's animation and during the beach party. For comparison, I was in Serenity fun city in the fall and there was never that music, and I was there for almost a month. And the staff behaved much better. There were no such constant questions "where are you from, you pines?" although I always spoke with them only in English, yes, with an accent, but I don't understand the point of switching to Sociese with me... it really pissed me off.
Animation : day weak. There was always something somewhere, but not super active. The only thing is that there was great aqua aerobics at the pool.
For children, they only went to a mini disco: one girl is very good, the other is weak...
Evening shows are cool. I really liked the team at the hotel, they did themed shows (singing and dancing) every evening, they sing and dance very cool.
There is a children's playground, and a cool area for more adults with table tennis and other games + nearby exercise room under a canopy on the street.
In general, I tried not to pay attention to the negatives, I had a good rest, the children are happy (this is the most important thing for me), but I have no desire to return to the hotel. It's like nothing critical, but I always had the feeling that the staff and the hotel were not compatible with each other. Somehow they don't have a team, a soul...
And also: the building smelled of paint, and it is impossible to enter the winter garden (where the reception is now) because of this smell...
