Well-located hotel for exploring Prague

I stayed at this hotel myself back in January 2020, and my current group is there now. We booked a quadruple room, and here’s their feedback: “The hotel is nice, the room is great — clean, recently renovated, everything works, and the breakfasts are truly fantastic. One downside: no air conditioning, since it’s a historic building.”

From my own experience, heating in winter is perfectly adequate. The location is very convenient — about an eight-minute walk to the tram stop and the I.P. Pavlova metro station. That’s handy if you’ve booked an excursion starting at Prague Castle — you can take Tram 22. Wenceslas Square is roughly a 15-20-minute walk, depending on your pace. We even walked to Old Town Square and Charles Bridge without any trouble.

Breakfast is served buffet-style and is genuinely delicious. The hotel has on-site parking, though it’s currently under renovation this summer. Note that once the work is complete, parking will only be free for direct bookings via the hotel’s website or Booking.com. It’s always worth comparing final costs — whether booking on Booking.com or the hotel’s site with free parking, versus using a tour agent with paid parking — to see which deal works out best if you have your own car.

If you need street parking in Prague (not the hotel lot), it’s about €1.50 per hour from 08:00 to 20:00, and free from 20:00 to 08:00.
