A new hotel in Sahl Hasheesh

Flow Spectrum 4* is a new hotel in Hurghada, located in the Sahl Hasheesh area. It’s on the second line from the beach.

We stayed there on July 5–6. We didn’t expect much and even considered changing hotels last minute just to avoid disappointment. But in the end, we were pleasantly surprised.

Staff were very welcoming and guest-oriented. They put bracelets on as soon as you arrive and don’t cut them off at check-out — nice touch!

Rooms. We chose a sunset-view room, and it was absolutely worth it — the sunsets here are incredible! We don’t recommend the sea-view rooms, though: there's construction behind the hotel, so the sea is only partially visible. I’d happily pay extra just for that sunset view!

Beach. The hotel has access to two beaches: one within walking distance, the other near Piramisa 5*, The V Luxury 5*, and Serenity 5*. There’s a designated zone with turquoise umbrellas. Some loungers are a bit worn.

There’s an hourly shuttle to the Piramisa Sahl Hasheesh 5* reception. From there, it’s just a few minutes on foot to the beach. There’s a beach bar with drinks and snacks, music, animation, and bocce games. You can get towels on-site, which is very convenient — no need to carry them from the hotel. Staff even came by to offer to clean sunglasses — cute touch.

The sea entrance is smooth and sandy, but there are some rocks, so water shoes are a good idea. Right across from the beach is a submerged structure with columns featuring the face of the goddess Hathor — lots of fish and a beautiful spot for snorkeling. Even kids will enjoy it.

The hotel territory is compact but has everything you need.

Pools. There are two: one is large and filled with salt water — a signature feature of the hotel. It’s up to 170 cm deep and has a kids’ area. The second pool has fresh water and is 120–150 cm deep. Between them stands an eye-catching sculpture of two people on a bike — very cool.

The gym is quite unique: two floors, fully glass-walled, and equipped with modern machines. Below it there’s an activity area with animators.

Kids’ club and playground were still closed, but expected to open within a week. Our child went to the kids’ clubs of Piramisa 5* and The V Luxury 5* — they had profession-themed zones, trampolines, slides, and cartoons.

Ice cream was high-quality and tasty, available from 10:00 to 22:00 in a dedicated café.

Animation was very active: we saw aqua aerobics, bocce, a foam party, live music, a belly dance and tanoura show. The amphitheater had just opened and already hosted evening entertainment during our stay.

Reception & lounge. Lots of cozy seating areas, all brand-new and stylish. The only minus for me — too many artificial plants and flowers.

At reception you’ll find chilled drinks (fresh juices, detox water) and sweets (marshmallows, cookies, Turkish delights). On the second floor, there’s a coffee shop serving great coffee, cocktails, and canned Stela beer.

À la carte dining. You can book a restaurant one day in advance by 12:00. We tried the Brazilian one — absolutely delicious.

Air conditioning works very well, maybe even too well at times — but in summer, that’s a big plus.
