Be cosy aparthotel 3*

An affordable hotel in Mauritius. Be Cosy Aparthotel 3* is included in many tour operators’ selections, so I think this review will be useful.

A very convenient location, right by one of the island’s best beaches - Trou-aux-Biches. The rooms have a mini-kitchen with everything you need, you can order laundry services; beach towels are provided. If travellers plan to use the in-room kitchen, I’d recommend putting all food in the fridge so ants don’t come in.

There are restaurants, small shops, a pharmacy, and a large supermarket nearby. There’s a police station just across the road. It’s a very safe place.

A nice area with a pool; the restaurant is currently outdoors, but just before our departure they were preparing to open the main indoor restaurant. At reception, upon arrival, they request a €100 deposit, which is returned at check-out. You also need to pay a tourist tax — €3 per person per night. The staff are pleasant; nothing about the hotel disappointed us, except for the residents of the “country 404” who checked in during the last four days of our stay.

Overall, Mauritius made a very pleasant impression. It didn’t feel like you were in Africa.
