A decent four-star hotel with extensive grounds for a family holiday

Palas Pineda 4* — located 80m from La Pineda beach, next to Estival Park. I didn’t like it; it is clearly quite dated. There are plenty of alternatives if the price is high.

The grounds are extensive. The lobby is nice with a crystal chandelier, but the overall look is old-fashioned and somewhat dark...There is a second building, which looks newer and more grand.

Active animation is available, with a stage for evening shows. There is a pool with a slide, and sun loungers are spread across the grass around it.Right by the pool, there is a fenced children's playground and a mini-club (open from June to October). Above the mini-club, there is a separate adults-only (16+) area, free of charge. It features a relax pool with loungers and a bar.However, even here the hotel shows its age (the planters for the trees could really do with a coat of paint).

3 restaurants. All-Inclusive operates from 10:00 to 23:00.There is a gym. Spa centre is extra — €10 per hour. Indoor heated pool, sauna, hammam, and jacuzzi.Private covered parking — €12; €15 per day from 24/06 to 11/09.

Board types: all options available. Drinks with HB and FB: filtered water, sangria, beer, wine, and soft drinks are free of charge; bar drinks are not included. All-Inclusive — available, with free drinks in the restaurant and the poolside bar.

The rooms are nice. Superior for 4: features two double beds and a terrace with its own loungers (which also look quite worn out).

In-room safe — €4 per day, €20 for 7 days, €10 key deposit. Mini-bar — free of charge; complimentary water on the first day. 

Beach towels — €10 deposit, replacement is free.Iron hire: €3 per day, €15 for 7 days; €20 deposit. 

Kettle hire: €3 per day, €15 for 7 days; €20 deposit.
