There’s a wide beachfront with soft sand and an easy entry into the sea. As this is the Gulf of Oman (part of the Indian Ocean), the water is often very clear. There’s also a chance to spot turtles or colourful fish near Dibba Rock — the hotel organises boat trips. A strong All Inclusive offering — plenty of choice and everything is tasty. A very good Flipper’s Kids Club, playgrounds and a children’s pool — parents can genuinely relax. Despite the hotel’s respectable age, the rooms have been renovated and look stylish and well kept.

It’s quite far from Dubai. That said, guests who choose this hotel are usually looking for exactly this kind of getaway, so it’s not really a straightforward downside. Waves — it’s the ocean, not the calm waters you typically get in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Outside the resort there’s almost nothing: just mountains, a road, and a few neighbouring hotels. It can feel a bit noisy and crowded at times. Position it correctly: this is a family resort, not a small, intimate romantic retreat for couples. In the low season, however, the atmosphere can be calmer and even quite romantic.
