Advantages and disadvantages
Metro around the corner — Mashreq station (Red Line), a 1–2 minute walk.
Mall of the Emirates is nearby — a 10–12 minute walk or one metro stop (shopping, Ski Dubai, food court).
Rooms are spacious — larger than in many modern hotels, which is great for families.
Rooftop pool with neighbourhood views.
Al Barsha’s well-developed infrastructure: plenty of budget cafés, supermarkets and pharmacies.
Excellent metro access — perfect if you plan to explore Dubai actively.
Interior is dated (dark wood, heavy curtains) — not very Instagrammable. Rooms facing the road can be noisy. There is no private beach (there is a shuttle to Jumeirah Open Beach, but it runs to a timetable and can be overcrowded). Breakfasts are fairly basic and repetitive.

For those who love modern design and the “wow” factor — it’s better to consider other options. In the Al Barsha area it’s more economical to dine at local cafés (Pakistani, Lebanese, Thai). JBR beach is only about a 15-minute ride by metro.
