A hotel with excellent sea views in a convenient location

We stayed at Leonardo Royal Hotel Mallorca for 3 nights.

What I really liked was the location and the incredible sea views from most rooms. The hotel is practically on the first line, and the pool by the shore feels very atmospheric. Nearby there is a small pebbly beach, as well as the long sandy Palmanova beach with a gentle entry into the sea, which is convenient for families with children. The hotel itself is in a quiet area, but lively Magaluf is just around a 10-minute walk away.

I really liked the staff: friendly reception team, always smiling, quick to help and solve any issues. Good guest relations. Housekeeping is daily, and everything is clean and tidy. The rooms are in good condition, with a kettle, coffee, fridge, 2 bottles of water on arrival, and a free safe - everything is convenient.

There is also a kids’ club, entertainment, sports activities by the pool, and during the day you can use kayaks or SUP boards free of charge. In the evening, there are shows and a mini disco for children. There are many guests from the UK, but they are calm.

The downside, in my opinion, is the food. It was quite repetitive. The coffee was not good. We had dinner only once, breakfast twice, and on the last day we went to a local café for breakfast. So I’d recommend booking this hotel with breakfast only at most and planning lunches/dinners outside the hotel.

Overall, the hotel left a good impression thanks to its location, views, service and atmosphere, but the food is weaker than the hotel’s general level.
