Monte Casa Spa & Wellness Hotel 4*, Petrovac, Montenegro

The hotel is located at the beginning of the bay. The beach is across the road, but the hotel itself is set on a hill. There are stairs leading down, as well as a ramp. Going back up with a pushchair is rather difficult.

🔹 There are practically no hotel grounds. Just an inner courtyard with a small pool — and that is it.

The hotel is clean, the reception area is spacious, and the restaurant is large.

🔸 The Standard room is spacious. The view can be either of the sea or the mountains, as it was in our case. It is quiet, with a pleasant pine scent. There is wooden furniture on the balcony. There is no drying rack for swimwear and towels.

Housekeeping is done daily: they make the bed, take out the rubbish and replace the towels. Rituals toiletries are provided in large dispensers.

There is a tea and coffee set, a minibar at an additional charge, a safe and slippers.

Beach towels are provided at the spa using towel cards.

🔹 Breakfast is standard. We liked everything. There is a good selection of cheeses and cold meats, oatmeal every day, various fruits, eggs, vegetables and pastries. The coffee machine, however, makes poor coffee.

There is also a choice at dinner, but almost all the hot dishes were not particularly tasty. The meat was often overcooked, or the dishes contained a lot of fat, even the vegetables. Fruit, desserts, fresh vegetables, lettuce leaves, rocket and iceberg salad were available. There were also mussels and seafood pasta. The fish was only some kind of fried fillet.

There was nothing specifically for children. Once we asked them to boil some courgette, but we did not feel like asking every day.

🔸 The spa is small. The sauna, hammam and pool are free of charge. We had a peeling treatment with a massage and really enjoyed it.

🔹 There is parking, but it is paid — from €10 per day.

Wi-Fi is free.
