A convenient option at Shannon Airport for early flights

Park Inn by Radisson Shannon Airport is a hotel that is perfect for an overnight stay before an early flight or after a late arrival in Shannon. Its main advantage is the location: the hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the airport terminal, so there is no need to arrange a transfer or worry about how to get there. I’m staying here for the second time, and it really is very convenient.

Location

This is definitely the hotel’s biggest advantage. You can walk to the terminal even with your luggage, and it literally takes around 2 minutes. You can see the terminal from the hotel windows, and there is a large airport car park nearby. The hotel also offers parking for the entire duration of your trip, at approximately the same price as the airport’s long-stay parking — around €10 per day.

Rooms

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although they are already a little dated and not exceptionally clean. There is a kettle with tea and coffee-making facilities, but there is no air conditioning or fridge. As Ireland is generally quite cool, this is not really an issue.

The most important thing is that the soundproofing is good. You can see planes taking off and landing from the hotel, but you can’t hear them at all, so they don’t disturb your sleep.

Breakfast

For guests with very early flights, between 3:00 and 6:00 am, complimentary tea and coffee, fruit and pastries are available. The full breakfast starts from 6:00 am.

The breakfast has a good selection of food and quality products, with the option to order additional hot dishes such as an omelette, eggs or porridge.

Restaurant & Bar

There is a restaurant and bar called Blair’s on site, where you can have dinner until 10:00 pm. The food here is genuinely good quality and tasty.
