Preparing for a Trip to Japan

Japan

Traveling to Japan is a real adventure that requires thorough planning. Everything is different here: the time zone, culture, transportation, food, and rules. To get the most out of your trip, I strongly recommend preparing a clear day-by-day itinerary of what you want to visit.

Visa -apply in advance.

Visit Japan Web  https://www.vjw.digital.go.jp/main/#/vjwplo001

This is the official online service of the Japanese government that saves you time. Instead of filling out paper forms on the plane or at the airport for immigration and customs, you receive QR codes and complete all procedures much faster.

Money & Transport

• Withdraw cash or exchange currency at the airport, cards are not accepted everywhere, especially for public transport and small purchases.

Suica card - buy it right at the airport. Works for metro, buses, and even 7-Eleven.

• Getting to your hotel by public transport is easy - just build the route in Google Maps.

Taxi (Go Taxi, Didi, Uber) exist, but they are very expensive. Metro and trains are much cheaper and more convenient.

• Don’t forget to buy a Type A adapter for Japanese power sockets.

🗺 Planning

Create a list of must-visit locations and mark them with hearts in Google Maps. During your trip, simply open the map — and you’ll instantly see what interesting places or cafés are nearby.
